A belated happy Fall Equinox, everyone! The shop has really been busy during the day, and I've been serving as a member of Team Attic Remodeling in the evenings, so my logon time has been really limited. My husband, daughter, and some of our friends have begun turning the attic into living space instead of mere (largely unused) storage space. When we're finished it should be a cozy retreat. It's something we've been wanting to do for quite a while, but other things always knocked the project lower on the list. So, to answer one of your questions, Stef, yes, he could and has added on to various rooms in the house. It's one of those very old, rambling, 100-plus-year-old places that had a lot of nook-and-cranny spaces we modern folk wanted to enlarge and combine, so he's gotten a lot of practice. I've learned a lot too and working together is fun for us. Years ago we turned two small sitting rooms into our daughter's bedroom, so she isn't pinched for space for her computer workstation today. Incidentally, yes, she is a witch too. But don't think Tabitha from "Bewitched"! It's her religion, as it is mine. I was quite proud of her participation in our recent Mabon (Fall Equinox) celebration. Still working on getting her to join Girl Friends, Keely |
