Autumn is here....in colors! |
| There are splashes of brilliance, but not generalized color. Cool temperatures the past few nights should push the rest over the edge. I'd guess next week might be peak color. |

Within 2 days... |
| The leaves were a beautiful golden color almost making it appear as a fairyland as you looked out the windows. But, within 2 days just about all of the poplar have fallen to the ground. Looks like it is raking time now. There are a few maples that are showing their "reds and oranges" yet. But most have carpeted the ground. |

From the pen of a friend.... |
| Fall is in full swing here; after several frosty nights in the 20's, the gardens are ready to go to bed and the colors are in total ransformation..we're in that period when being near the water means primetime color, whereas out
in the hinterlands, the movie is almost ready to roll the credits. it's
supposed to get nicer for the weekend with sunshine and highs near 60,
which is as good as it gets this time of the year.... |
